NDP January 28th - Report

On the 28th of January, our competition and DMT squad took part in the final NDP regional qualifier at Chase Leisure Centre.

The day saw some great performances and some fantastic debuts from some of our members and was a positive competition all round.

In the NDP 1 level, Eleanor had a fantastic performance with her best execution scores to date and managed to climb her way up a very large group to 5th position, her highest ranking to date. Leah earned herself some fantastic scores in her second routine, unfortunately the nerves beat her in the first routine but she persevered and finished strong. Both Lauren and Harry performed their routines for the first time on the regional competition circuit and although let the nerves get the better of them both had a great experience and bought home some positives to move forward.

The NDP 2 competition saw Caitlin, Lydia and Summa all bring home medals with brilliant high scoring routines. Caitlin finishing in 1st place with Lydia and Summa both finishing in 2nd place in their age groups. A great achievement for Summa who has only recently moved up to this level.

The NDP 3 and 4 competition saw Charlie complete a great routine B to finish in 3rd place and Oliver push himself to complete 2 routines to finish in first place. Jessica trialled the next level up and despite a slight lack in confidence, put on a great performance to finish in 2nd place.

NDP 5 saw Ben execute 2 routines to a high standard to finish first in his group and Sophie achieve a whopping 9.0 for execution from judges to finish first in her group. A great start to her journey with Activ8.

Luke, our highest level competitor of the day fought against a tough competitor but managed to push his way through and finish in 1st place.

A huge congratulations to our disability bouncers, Niamh, Ethan and Tyler finishing in 1st place and Leighton finishing in 2nd.

DMT saw Luke, Jessica and Ethan compete at NDP6.  Ethan M did a great job in saving his third pass when he landed on the bungee and came 3rd with Luke and Jessica finished in 1st place.

Summa and Jess B were next to compete for the first time in NDP2.  With no warm up of their hardest pass both did a fantastic job with Jess B finished in 3rd place and Summa 6th.

Next Oliver competed NDP2 and finished in 1st place, also competing his hardest pass with no warm up just two touch.

Finally, Charlie competed for the first time at NDP3 and finished 1st.

NDP 22nd October 2017 - Report

RESULTS

Many of you will know that this year we introduced a competition squad. These performers were targeted to come in the top half of their categories at regional NDP level and I am delighted to say that all the nagging, extra Sunday sessions and hard work have really showed at today's competition.

The day started off with Chelsea our youngest NDP competitor taking NDP1 9-10 by storm and finishing in second place 🥈
Next we had Ben again smashing his NDP 15+M group finishing in fi...rst place🥇
Then we had Leah, Eleanor and Summa competing in a very large and tough group of 30 girls finishing respectively in joint 12th for Leah and Eleanor and third for Summa 🥉
Freya managed to compete 3 new links/skills in NDP5 15+F to finish in 7th place.
Jess G gave DMT NDP6 15-16F a go after a successful year at level 2 last year and smashed it finishing in second place🥈
Our disability gang went out and stole the show as usual with outstanding performances all performing brand new routines and Niamh competing her somersault for the very first time!! Tyler finishing first🥇 Leighton second🥈 and Niamh first🥇
Oliver moved up a level and age group this year to NDP 4 13+M and showed great consistency finishing second 🥈
Gemma has come a long way and today showed that all her work is finally paying off finishing 7th in an absolutely enormous group of girls in NDP4 13+F.
Ethan McCall (butter) had his debut on DMT today at NDP5 13+M and boy did he start with a bang smashing qualifying score and finishing in first place🥇
Lydia Barton (fluffy) moved up a level this year and also an age group being one of the youngest (still being 10) at NDP2 11-12F though that didn't phase her she jumped her socks off and finished in third place only 0.05 points off second🥉
Our last competitor of the day was Jess G at NDP3 13+ who absolutely wiped the floor with her group taking the lead by 1.25 finishing in first place🥇

We had 100% routine completion and out of a possible 15 medals A8 bought home 12 absolutely outstanding!!!!!
Thank you to the whole team today we were by far the most smart in our tracksuits and the support shown by one another showed just why we're such a successful club!! Onwards and upwards to the January qualifier!!! 🎉
